Gee, my fault.  I thought your EVSF rod was a telescopic one.  You are right, there are no "best" rods but only one's favourite rods.  Glad that you've found your loved one(s).

Your comment on the rod tips was again interesting.  I suppose a US made 30-35lb line class surf rod would comfortably launch a 6~8oz lead, while a #27 JP rod would have a maximum load of approximately 100g (3oz) only.  Yet, the G loomis is more sensitive.  Perhaps there is where your bucks go.

Sydney C hing,
Can u teach me how to read the weight from the rod and the class line?

Because l am using PE 3( 47 lb) and l just want to lock my  drag because my target fish always go into cave.
So l think it can break my rod if the fighting time is too long , right?
Do u think l need a #33  rod because my target fish can be 10kg+

I am an absolute layman in "Ishidai", but I'm sure many c-hings in the "Ishidai" section can help you.  After all, this is the "Surf Fishing" section, and Hong Kong beaches have no fish, mate.

p.s. I thought #27 converts to (3.75gx27=) 101.25grams.  Ain't I correct?
