Bear mind that trouts will jump high out of the water to dislodge the hook, just keep the rod upright and line tight while engaged, the rod will handle the rest.

I guess not this time. I wish to underdatnd more the location first.
Maybe next trip I'll hire a fishing guide there. But first of all, I've got
to review the German text book.

Good luck with your trip. Nice to give a shoot at brown trouts. Are you going to practise a lot more before going?

may not be, I'll be damn busy these days and I got a Flu today. Works have to be done before
the trip.

Practice?.............

Just remember to practice casting "against" the wind  .........there may not be a spot where you can cast with wind pushing the line from behind !!!!!!!!

Uncle, thanks for your advise. I believe that wind and the water temperuture are the main obstacles. I have to learn to overcome it.
