Puglisi Baitfish Puglisi小鱼饵

Puglisi (不知如何翻译) 其实是一名来自Sicily, 意大利西西里岛的酒店厨师的名字 (不过在80年移民美国纽约了), 全名叫Enrico Puglisi. 他是EP Fiber 和一些EP系列绑制材料的创办人也是Puglisi小鱼饵绑法的发明人.
Puglisi小鱼饵不是一种毛钩的款式而是一种模仿海里的小鱼饵的绑法. 采用人造材料. 非常简单的一种绑法尤其是采用了他开发的材料.

Puglisi小鱼饵的绑法



钩子 : #6-#4/0 海水专用钩,环形钩,长柄短柄都可以
线 : 白色3/0或透明monofilament单丝尼龙线
身体 : EP Fiber 一种纤维材料, 可采用不同颜色配搭
眼睛 : 3D即时帖眼睛
其他 : Ice Wing



把钩子夹上绑制钳, 绑上绑制线



从包装里挑出一些Ice Wing




用手将Ice Wing 拔出需要的量(不要用剪的)



将Ice Wing 绑在钩身




将前端的Ice Wing在钩眼当中往下分开



将Ice Wing 绑起



去掉后面多余的Ice Wing



开始选用的是白色EP Fiber



用剪刀或手指分出一小部分的EP Fiber



一般用差不多跟钩身的厚度相同就可以了



把EP Fiber 剪成一半(通常EP Fiber是8英寸长可用于两次)



将一段绑在钩子上




跟Ice Wing的方法相同, 把EP Fiber往钩眼当中往下分开绑好



用剪下来的另一段用同样的方法绑上
继续用同样的方法增加EP Fiber




下来选着了用另一个颜色, 一点沙色的EP Fiber 用同样的绑法加上钩子



在照片里可能看起来没有什么颜色相差, 这里又另外补上一张显示两个不同颜色的EP Fibre. 左边的是叫沙色Sand带有一点奶白, 右边的是Polar Bear北极熊的颜色白色



然后选出一些红色的EP Fiber



在绑制线将红色EP Fiber 折一半



绑在钩子下方



选出一些灰色的EP Fiber同样的跟红色的手法相同




不过这次往钩身的上方绑起



同样的下方也绑上灰色EP Fiber, 这里可见距离钩眼还有一段距离



那么继续用同样的手法加上了奶白色和灰色的EP Fiber, 绑到钩眼后打个结, 基本绑制完成



看起来毛钩不像什么东西, 现在需要做一些处理, 来当理发师给毛钩小鱼饵形状. 先开始用齿剪或打薄剪刀来进行一些修剪




接着在用一把锋利的剪刀把初步小鱼饵的形状剪出



取下毛钩用牙刷在毛发上进行梳理



进行梳理后能看的出刚才的初步修剪的形状已不存在, 另外是将EP Fiber不同颜色混合一起



继续的把毛钩修剪到需要的形状



准备一些环氧树脂涂在3D眼睛后面再沾上钩子(即时贴眼本身的黏性不够)



完成后在绑制线部分涂上一点头胶. 使用EP Fiber的时候不需要太多, 完成的毛钩小鱼饵要保持一点透明度



上面的是采用不同颜色的Ice Wing来做侧线, 小鱼饵体色分为两种, 下面部分为白色, 上面部分为灰色. 模仿一般海里的Shad. 这里其实还没有完成, 剩下最后步骤, 定型.




环氧树脂和头胶干透后, 把毛钩放在温水下冲



基本上把毛钩定型, 可看出上面的是冲过温水的, 下面的是还没定型的



完成的Puglisi小鱼饵毛钩

注: EP Fiber, 这种纤维材料本身是Hydrophobic不吸水. 所以即使绑再大的毛钩也不需要太担心竿子抛不动. 另外我自己喜欢加一点红色因为拟饵本身就是模仿受伤的鱼儿所以就带有一点血迹. 呵呵.

waliao, is the EP easy to work with?

i'll suggest putting the lip upward, that way it wont dive in and wont come back up... and you are able to fish more water columns
sinking fly / upward,  floating fly / downward... just a suggestion...

EP Fiber 有d 似我地養魚瀘水的白色粗棉，唔知用唔用得呢。

yeah the EP fibers are very easy to work with.
I thought about the lips as well. The thing is this fly has no weight unless I use a sinking line or intermediate to pull it down. But most of the time I'm using floating line with longer leaders so the fly will actually sink (when soaked) at a very slow rate and in order to reach the water column I had the lip downward so it dives in faster.
I tied another one with the lip upwards but its a Clouser pattern. Clousers have dumbbell eyes so it will sink fast to the bottom thus the lip will help it to swim upwards.
Just my theory, still needs to be tested...haha...

Did you buy that speical scissors only for tying flies ?

Yeah that taperizer scissors was specially bought for tying flies. Similar type of scissors to what you find in the salon just that this is a miniature version of it. Its possible to ask around barber shop for a 2nd hand which they are no longer in use but would be still useful for fly tyers and they are not that costly.
