thanks for your advice again ^^
when I'm looking at the spec. of Japanese rods, they have a section called 錘負荷, I wonder if that's mean the max. sinker weight that rod can sustain, am I right ? an ...
錘負荷 means the total weight load of the rig i.e. float, lead, hooks, bait, accessories .... that the rod can support during normal operation. 1號=3.759g likewise for a #1 rod's 錘負荷 is 1~3號, the rod can sustain a total weight of not more than 11.277g, if you exceed this weight there will be an hazard of snapping the rod especially the tip during casting!
锤负荷号 Weight Load(gm)
1 3.759
2 7.518
3 11.277
4 15.036
5 18.795
6 22.554
7 26.313
8 30.072
9 33.831
10 37.59
For the ease of calculation, you can time up by 4 and roughly obatin the total suitable weight load. ^^
