Welcome to the forum..................So, you are from Down Under! Are you gonna be here in Hong Kong for some time? Or just passing by?

The Administrator of the forum is seriously considering starting a new thread in English in order to accommodate English speaking anglers who are keen to fish locally. The thread would include discussions on various type of fishing, rod & reel, techniques etc. etc. etc.

Should you have questions about other type of fishing locally other than Fly Fishing, you can always start a new topic under the related thread ....... Lure, Surf, Off Shore, Boat, Fresh Water and of course Fly Fishing. You will find that people are more than happy to help with answers and information required.

Im here for the next two years (but who knows after that). Will take you up on the question side of things as Ive only been in HK for 1 month.

Living on HK island south I will be looking around this area a lot as its my new local.

As kfd knows Im on a Redfish quest as I have not caught one before. Hope there is somewhere local. Will keep looking and fishing.

Not quite, September is still typhoon season, could possibly bring more rainfall (hopefully) in Hong Kong.
