I've become a Fly fisherman

Hi Bros,

Having a brilliant holiday to New Zealnd I found the attraction of Fly Fishing.
I bought my very first Fly equipments from there. Unfortunately I don't have time
to play with. Lessons should be made in HK by C Hings here. Look forward to
having fun with you guys for a fly trip.

Congrats!!! HappyClam!!! I know how exciting it is to get your 1st fly fishing equipment. Unfortunately, u dun have time to wet your line in New Zeland. Hong Kong need more FLY Anglers! Keep it up!!!!
o.. just wondering your tippet material 3x which is same as your taper leader. u may want to get a 4x or 5x tippet so the line taper down all the way to the fly. I am not sure if i am right or wrong, please let me know if i am wrong, thank you C HING.

Hi Mate, thanks for your reply! All these things were introduced by the salesman coz I have no idea at all.
Anyway, It's the first one and would never be the last one, I guess. After checking informations from the internet,
how to config, presentation of line, class of rod / flyline / leader / tippet / fly / hook,  the passion of fly fishing was
already begun. There are a lot of things/skill to be learned. I'm getting crazy with it.

Not to worry!

There's nothing wrong with what the salesman assembled for you. Noted that you have a 3X tapered leader attached, the tippet end of the leader will eventually get shorter and shorter. changing of flies and breakages etc. To lengthen the tippet you will then have to use the one in the picture using a blood knot without  cutting the leader off the fly line.
